About Tom Caulfield

Tom Caulfield is a life-long resident of Grosse Pointe Park and is a prominent member of the city. He is a firm believer in community engagement and lending a helping-hand. He regularly comes to the aid of his fellow neighbors during times of crisis such as during the period of severe flooding experienced by so many in 2016.

Having completed a B.S. in Management finance in 1995, from Johnson & Wales in Providence, R.I., Tom Caulfield worked in hospitality management in Florida and Boston. In 2004, Tom Moved back to Grosse Pointe Park to enjoy the community spirit, parks, amenities, schools and quality of life. Since returning to the area, Tom has worked in the finance and insurance industries. Currently, he is a Strategic Risk Consultant/Broker for Lockton Companies in Detroit.

Tom Caulfield resides on Pemberton with his wife and three children. He is a dedicated volunteer. Tom is a past director of the Grosse Pointe Sail Club. He founded Sail Mac Now and The Green Horn Kids which both promote the sport of sailing to young people. Tom is a board member for the Grosse Pointe Gators Swim Club. He has been a Cub Scout troop leader for Pack 86 in the Great Lakes Council, a youth sailing coach, and a Grosse Pointe Park Little League coach. Tom has been a Destination Imagination coach and appraiser. He volunteers as a set-builder and actor at the Grosse Pointe Theater.

Tom Caulfield views Grosse Pointe Park as a great place to live, raise a family and retire. He wants to help ensure it remains one of the best cities in the United States to live. It is this sense of pride and deep commitment to community involvement that inspired Tom to run for Grosse Pointe Park City Council. He firmly believes we are all in this together. With his drive to ‘get stuff done’, Tom will bring a focused, common sense approach to the table.

Fundamentally, Tom Caulfield believes our residents moved to Grosse Pointe Park and continue to reside here because they are attracted to its wonderful sense of community and amazing amenities. 24/7 Wall St lists our city as one of the best cities in the United States in which to live. Tom is committed to maintaining Grosse Pointe Park’s historical appeal while making improvements to secure its position on this coveted list.
